How our bags are made

From granules to bag,
all under one roof.

Every Be Eco Green bag is made at our own unit in Harohalli, Bengaluru. Here’s each step, from the raw material we check in to the carton we send across India.

Our unit

Our own unit
in Harohalli, Bengaluru.

We don’t buy bags from a trader and put our name on them. We make them ourselves, at our manufacturing unit in Harohalli Industrial Area, Bengaluru.

Having our own floor means we choose the material, set the thickness and size, and run the print. We can tell you when your order will be ready, and when you call, you talk to the people who make your bags.

  • Material to bag, one roofFilm, print, cutting and sealing all happen in-house.
  • Your size, your printStandard sizes, or bags made to your measurements.
  • Delivered across IndiaPacked and dispatched straight from Harohalli.

The process

From raw material
to a finished bag.

Eight steps, all on our floor in Harohalli. Here’s what happens between the resin we check in and the bags that arrive at your counter.

  1. Small heaps of white compostable resin pellets and a mound of starch powder, laid out for checking

    Step 1 of 8

    Raw material check

Each batch of compostable resin (PLA, PBAT, PHA and starch fillers) is checked for grade and moisture before it reaches the machines.

  2. Green and white compostable pellets next to a folded sheet of light green film

    Step 2 of 8

    Blending

The materials are weighed and blended to the recipe for each bag: more stretch for grocery bags, more clarity for garment bags.

  3. A gloved hand pouring white compostable granules from a sack into a steel machine hopper

    Step 3 of 8

    Granules

The blend is melted and cut into uniform compostable granules, which feed every bag we make.

  4. A tall, milky-white bubble of compostable film rising from the die of a film-blowing machine
Finished compostable film wound onto a large roll

    Step 4 of 8

    Blown film

The granules are melted and blown upward into a thin, continuous bubble of film, then cooled and wound onto rolls. This sets the bag’s thickness and its soft, matte feel.

  5. Compostable film running through a flexo printing machine, printed with a green leaf pattern

    Step 5 of 8

    Printing

For printed orders, your logo and brand colours go onto the film by flexo printing, lined up to land in the same place on every bag.

  6. A bag-making machine cutting and sealing compostable film into T-shirt handle bags, stacked on the table
A stack of compostable bags with freshly punched D-cut handles

    Step 6 of 8

    Cutting and sealing

The film is cut and heat-sealed into each bag type: T-shirt handles, D-cut punches, garment flaps with adhesive strips, courier bags with tamper-proof seals, and garbage bags on rolls.

  7. Checking the thickness of compostable film with a digital micrometer

    Step 7 of 8

    Quality check

We check thickness, seal strength, load and print on every batch. Bags that aren’t right don’t get packed.

  8. Bundles of compostable bags being packed into cardboard cartons
Cartons stacked on a pallet beside a delivery truck, ready for dispatch

    Step 8 of 8

    Packed and dispatched

Bags are counted, bundled, boxed and sent out from Harohalli to businesses across India.
